LNG Value Chain training delivered to LNG stakeholders in Athens

GoLNG Project organised a ‘Value Chain Training’ on 04th December at Eugenides Foundation in Athens, Greece.


Mr. Emil Arolski, Chairman of the Polish LNG Platform gave an overview of the latest LNG developments in Poland and Baltic Sea Region. Baltic LNG Cluster was presented to regional LNG stakeholders and academic representatives. Mrs Monika Hapanionek, Maritime University of Szczecin, gave a comprehensive presentation on how to Contribute to the safe operation of a ship subject to the IGF Code and bunkering operation of LNG. The first session of the seminar concluded with a presentation by Mrs Kinga Drwiega from the Maritime University of Szczecin concentrating on the special precautions that should be taken to prevent hazards on a ship subject to the IGF Code.


Second session continued with joint discussions with the panelists and seminar participants with sharing know-how and experience among the Baltic Sea Region and LNG stakeholders from the Mediterranean region.

 

  


On the second day, during the LNG Conference by The Hellenic Institute Of Marine Technology and The RINA Group, Mr. Arolski gave a key note speech underlining the latest achievements of the Polish LNG Platform and Baltic LNG stakeholders.


The LNG meetings concluded with a formal acceptance of cooperation agreement between the Greek Marine LNG Network and the Baltic LNG Cluster and Competence Center. This key milestone will allow further collaboration among the two regions by assisting the LNG stakeholders with know-how, experience sharing activities and joint project initiatives in the future.
