Small scale LNG – in focus on study trip to Bergen

Representatives from Lithuania, Poland and Norway recently had the opportunity to learn more about small scale LNG infrastructure through a study trip sponsored by international “Go LNG”project.

 

Study trip was held on 18-19th of May. The event was organised by „Go LNG”, Shipping & Offshore Network and Network LNG Norway.

 

Attendees toured a variety of enterprises and enhanced their knowledge in the seminar. Andrius Sutnikas, Communication Manager at Klaipeda Science and Technology Park (Lithuania) – leading partner of the “Go LNG” project – made a presentation on Small Scale LNG in the Baltics, Network LNG Norway and the Norwegian LNG Cluster  was represented by the project manager Egil Rensvik. CEO of Liquiline AS Knut Førland gave a presentation on LNG Small Scale Bunkering and Transport Solutions, CEO of LMG Marin AS Torbjørn Bringedal discussed LNG Ship Fuel Solutions. Part of the seminar was dedicated to discuss producing and selling natural gas – this topic was covered by GasNor AS.

 

Delegation had an opportunity to look at LNG bunkering for ferry In Halhjem, saw production of gas machinery in Hordvikneset, visited Gexcon AS, which is is a world-leading company in the field of safety and risk management and advanced dispersion, explosion and fire modelling.
