Products services
Qatargas operates today four LNG trains with a capacity of two million tons yearly each. 10 million tons of LNG is being exported from these four trains to Japan and Spain. Currently, Qatargas is enhancing its LNG infrastructure by developing additional four new LNG trains which will have capacity of 7.8 million tons yearly.
Five key products of the company Qatargas are: Rich Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Lean LNG, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Treated Field Condensate and Plant Condensate.
Qatargas is producing LNG both onshore and offshore. Gas extracted offshore is brought onshore for processing.
In terms of services, following LNG trains supply to the following customers: Qatargas 1 – supplies LNG under long-term contracts to customers in Japan and Spain. Qatargas 2, Qatargas 3 and Qatargas 4 are supplying to markets in Europe, USA, and UK.
Qatargas provides also service in supplying spot cargoes. Spot LNG cargoes have been already supplied to Spain, Japan, USA, France, Italy and Turkey.
For transportation purposes, Qatargas possesses sound shipping infrastructure to transport LNG to its customers. Qatargas 1 has a fleet of 10 purpose-built vessels, each with a capacity of 135,000 cubic meters. Other two new classes of LNG tankers used were pioneered by Qataregas during the development processes: Q-Flex and Q-Max.

Key business interests refer to aim in enhancing penetration of Qatargas into the European markets and strengthening its position as global leader in gas supply and export. Therefore, SBSR market provides good opportunity to become a market niche for the global player in the field of LNG.
