Construction of the LNG terminal at Hamina Port will start soon

Haminan Energia and the Estonian Alexela Group through their joint venture Hamina LNG will build an LNG terminal at Hamina port. Total cost of the investment is estimated about 95 million €. The project has been supported by the Ministry of Employment and the Economy of 27.7 million €.

First phase of construction include a 30,000 m3 storage tank with receiving, regasification and transshipment facilities. The project assume deliver gas to to Hamina's energy distribution network and customers outside the distribution network as well as for land and sea transport needs.

In the future there is a additional plan to build additional 20,000 m3 storage tank.

The construction is scheduled for completion in 2020.
