MAN-Cryo to deliver LNG systems for WALLENIUS SOL's newbuilds

The company will supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanks, each with a capacity of 685 m3, 500 m3/hour bunkering stations, and systems for automation, emergency shutdown, and gas detection.

The two 242 m-long 1A Super ice class ro-ros are currently under construction at the Chinese Yantai CIMC Raffles Shipyard, scheduled for delivery in 2021.

Once operational, each newbuilding will offer 5,800 lane metres of carrying capacity for WALLENIUS SOL's network linking the Gulf of Bothnia, the UK, and North Sea continental Europe.
