Klaipeda Science and Technology Park

Klaipeda Science and Technology Park was founded on September 6, 2002 in cooperation of Klaipeda University and the Ministry of Economy of The Republic of Lithuania. The Park was founded in the former premises of the Russian army division with tank sheds and a swimming pool for Soviet army soldiers.

At present the KSTP has more than 40 companies, public enterprises and branches of international companies acting in the innovation environment and the global market. During the seven years of work the Park has established a wide network of partners in all continents enabling boundless collaboration possibilities. It carries out intense project activities enhancing entrepreneurship and is actively working in the fields of technology transfer and transport development. A modern infrastructure, dynamic international activity and the gained competence ensures a wide and unique scale of services and an activity blend for everybody working and trying to create and implement technologies in the innovation environment.

The objective of the KSTP is to gather under one roof enthusiasts of successful development from Klaipeda city and all western Lithuania, progressive thinking students full of innovative ideas, post-graduates, entrepreneurs who aim to be the creators of the future of the region, who generate ideas and seek to implement them into businesses; to enhance collaboration between science, industry and other fields of economy as well as development of high technologies, to sustain and develop the scientific potential. The KSTP is the center of innovation culture and entrepreneurship enhancement in the Klaipeda Region.

The mission of the KSTP is to promote the development of modern scientifically susceptible technologies, to provide infrastructural and consulting services for innovative enterprises and business ideas in the western Lithuania and in the whole country.
